Failure to complymay result in damage to equipment.Inspect connector pins/sockets for damage,corrosion, and serviceability. Check thatconnector pins are not pushed back andare capable of making good contact.(1) Set multimeter to ohms.(2) Connect positive (+) probe of multimeterto transfer case wiring harness externalconnector pin B.(3) Connect negative (-) probe of multimeter totransfer case wiring harness connector Hsocket B and note reading on multimeter.(4) If continuity is not present, replacetransfer case wiring harness (para 8-2).(5) Connect positive (+) probe of multimeterto transfer case wiring harness externalconnector pin B.(6) Connect negative (-) probe of multimeter toall other pins in transfer case wiringharness external connector and notereading on multimeter.(7) Connect negative (-) probe of multimeter toground and note reading on multimeter.(8) If continuity is present, transfer casewiring harness is shorted replace transfercase wiring harness (para 8-2).
