Air SystemThe Air System provides clean, dry air for use in the air brake system and the CTIS.(1) The air system is pressurized by an engine driven air compressor (1, Figure 1-16)with an average output pressure of 125 psi (862 kPa). The system pressure is con-trolled by a pressure governor (2) which maintains the output pressure between 105-125psi (724-862 kPa).(2) Air is supplied to the air brake portion of the system by the primary air tank (3) andsecondary air tank (4). Air for the CTIS comes from the wet tank (5).1-49
