Installation.(1) Position steering gear assembly (1) in vise.CAUTIONEnsure marks on steering gear output shaftand pitman arm are aligned. Failure tocomply may result in damage to equipment.(2) Install steering pitman arm (2) on output shaft (3).(3) Position nut (4) on output shaft (3).(4) Tighten nut (4) to 365-446 lb-ft (495-605 N m).(5) Stake nut (4) to output shaft (3) at a minimum depth of0.1 in.
